Early Professional Development
Continuing Development for Education Professionals in their first five years

Currently working with Cornwall CPD and Torbay Local Authority, NLP has developed a series of programmes to support the Early Professional Development of teachers following on from their NQT year.

These programmes build on the foundation stones laid in the training and induction periods and take professional learning to advanced levels of competency through inquiry into elements of pedagogy and leadership. Accreditation towards Masters degree is offered through the SWIFT partnership, or Bath Spa University.

This programme has been designed for all teachers in their first five years, but it may also significantly help those who are looking towards Advanced Skills Teacher status or who are Fast Tracking. It is based strongly on the twin goals of achieving, Threshold, and achieving a Masters degree. It combines work looking at the Post-threshold Professional Standards through an Inquiry based model.
